Frustrating. I talked to AJ throughout the week and was willing to drive 3 hours to buy the truck. Asked him for a little more information, he said he would send it right over. He then went on vacation with no notification. I called to talk to someone else and they sold the vehicle that morning, saying they didn't know anyone else was interested. Nice people, frustrating process
Fast forward to 2017, I’m now deployed, my wife is at home with the kids and her 2015 GMC Yukon is having some issues. I try to get them resolved with GM but was provided a solution I wasn’t 100% happy with. So, the first thing I told my wife was to call the Dodge dealership in Belle Fourche! While deployed, I also went to the overseas Military sales that gives service members really good deals on vehicles. I priced out the SUV we wanted and sent the info to Scott Petersen. They beat the price from Military sales and offered us a great price for our trade-in GMC, so we pulled the trigger and ordered a 2018 Durango SRT. Again, they found us a loan better than my bank as well as added some extras I asked for like tint and slush mats. All of this while I’m overseas and my wife is traveling around visiting family during the holidays!
My families experience with Scott Petersen Motors in Belle Fourche, SD started in 2011. That year I purchased a new Jeep Grand Cherokee for my wife who had been driving around an old Saturn Vue. Scott Petersen bent over backwards for us by finding the exact Grand Cherokee my wife desired which happened to be located in Sioux Falls. They sent their own driver to go pick up the vehicle the next day, drive it back to their dealership, and get it ready for delivery. The following day they delivered it to our house in Rapid City and drove the Saturn back to Belle Fourche. They gave us top dollar for our trade-in and found a better financing option than the bank I have used for decades could provide. The entire experience was outstanding.

We were honest with Mitch from the start, and without any difficult or awkward negotiating, he came in with a fair price that we felt comfortable with. After a quick and painless paperwork process, we drove off the lot with the car of my wife's dreams! If you're looking to buy in the Rapid City area, I can't recommend Scott Peterson Motors and Mitch Johnson enough!
