Stayed for three 2nd half of Sturgis week. Great location, great hosts, nice and quiet. Not rowdy like the other campgrounds can be. This was our second time here but it won't be our last! Thanks Kent!!
No lifeguard on duty, swim at your own risk. I highly recommend that any child (or children) under age of 16 should be supervised buy an adult that's at least 21 years of age or older while near or in the river.
If the owner or other tenants staying here feel that you're a burden to anyone, then you will be asked to leave and you'll not get any refunds unless the owner says otherwise. Refusal to leave, when asked, or causing harm to anyone or to the owner's property could result to a free law enforcement escort to jail.
AWFUL! We made our reservation and paid in full. Then I got hurt and couldn't drive my motorcycle. This happened 8 days after the deadline for a refund of any kind. I contacted the owner immediately and he said we would work something out, either a partial refund or a credit towards the next years rally. The other thing he said was that if the site was used at all during the rally by another camper, he would send us that money. I find it hard to believe that the site was never used during the 14 days of Sturgis. I have contacted him several times and now he won't even respond! We have rec'd nothing! He claims to be a quiet, family oriented and Christian based facility? This doesn't seem very Christian to me. I was out of work for 7 1/2 weeks. I had no income. And now to be out this money is really killing us. I need this money back in my account! We will never, ever make another reservation with this campground nor will we recommend them to anyone. DO NOT MAKE A RESERVATION! If you have a medical emergency, you will NOT get any money back! Stay away!
Just left after 4 nights. Quiet, very clean and well maintained. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. FYI, train came through during the day and once before bed time - other than that you could hear a pin drop!! Also dinner at the Belle Inn down the road was very good and nice on the budget too!!
Great quiet campground!
Great peaceful place. The owners are very nice people. Maintenance is kept up. The red water river runs right next to the property and can be easily accessed for swimming. A remarkable place to relax. And just right outside the city limits of Belle Fourche. Beautiful Countryside with lots of shaded trees and green grass. It's like a fantasy place out of a Western novel. You must come stay to see for yourself. I guarantee that you would not be disappointed!
The place is very well set up with showers and security. I never worried about my belongings when I had to leave to go anywhere.
Everything is based on the old fashioned trust system; meaning if you make a promise or take anything that needs to be paid for, you pay for it and keep your promises without the owners asking you. A bag of ice is $2 and a bundle of firewood is $5; the owners have a locked drop box for these payments. Keep in mind cash only at this place. And as always with any business, prices are subject to change with or without notice according to the owner's decisions.
