Always stop during the Rally, my wife's bday is during that week, we ride from Vail, Belle Fouche on to Hulet. Good stop for cold beer and a bite.
After being overcharged for beer and food while in Sturgis and the surrounding area for the bike rally, the Stone House is a great place to get reasonably priced beer, mixed drinks and the food is out of this world. You get an extra large outside grilled cheese burger for only $5.00. Everyone else in the area was charging $10 to $12 for low quality frozen patties. Their "Juicy Beef" sandwich is an extra large, moist sliced beef sandwich. We rode there 3 times during the rally because we got tired of all the other low quality rip offs. The place was great.
One of the neatest stops on the way to Hulett! Only open during Sturgis Bike Week as far as I know.
It's just a old stone house in the middle of nowhere with a couple of make shift bars and outdoor seating with a decent stage and really good bathrooms. All gravel and grass parking. The people who own it are really smart business people as they took a worthless piece of property and are using it to make a butt load of money during Sturgis Bike Week. I wish it was mine. I can only give it 3 stars as there is really nothing note worthy about the place other than the great idea and an old stone house in really poor condition.
